Speaker: Ron Illium, P.E., Basalite Concrete Products

Ron is a registered California Professional Engineer. He has a B.S. and M.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. Ron has 30 years of experience and specializes in mechanically stabilized earth structures, reinforced slopes, walls and pavements. For the past 7 years, he has been Basalite’s Regional Engineer working with permeable pavements, articulated concrete blocks and MSE structures. Ron has served on committees with American Public Works Association (APWA), National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), Associated General Contractors of America and California Emergency Management Association.
